      Position Summary

      Limestone Financial Credit Union, $75 million in assets, is seeking a full-time Member Service Representative to join our team. We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic and highly motivated to assist in building trusted relationships by providing our members with financial solutions that meet their needs.

      Qualified candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule ranging in hours including 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and every other weekend. Candidates must have the ability to organize, prioritize, perform multiple tasks simultaneously and should be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written form. Applicants should also have the ability to analyze financial data and should possess a keen attention to detail.

      Qualifications

      An education equivalent to a high school degree is required. Considerable experience in cash handling and member services necessary. The ability to work with numbers accurately and use general office technology is required. Must be bondable under the Credit Union’s surety bond.

      4. Ability to work without direct supervision.
      5. Should be confident in self and ability and possess the capability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

      Duties and Responsibilities
      1. Represent the credit union to members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
      2. Cross-sell all services of the credit union that benefit the members’ financial well-being.
      3. Abide by Organizational and Internal Standards.
      4. Ensure work area is clean, well maintained, and secure.
      5. Must possess up to date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products, services, policies, procedures, regulations, and the Credit Union Philosophy.
      6. Welcome members to the credit union and provide routine information concerning services in accordance with the credit union policies.
      7. Perform a wide range of transactional duties to serve the members as well as solving member inquiries.
      8. Direct members to the appropriate department for specific information and services.
      9. Handle member transactions and other support functions via telephone.
      10. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
      11. Maintain confidentiality of member information, trade secrets, business practices, etc. Information should not be disclosed to outside sources without express permission of supervisor.
      12. Serves as an advocate for the member, the credit union, and the movement as a whole.

      We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated professional who is passionate about education and building trusted relationships with educators, students, and community members. This is a remote/hybrid position offering flexible work hours aligned with program scheduling.

      About the Role

      The Member Education Coordinator is responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering engaging financial literacy programs and member education initiatives across our service area. This role is instrumental in promoting financial independence through one-on-one support, interactive workshops, classroom presentations, and community-based events.

      A significant portion of the workday will involve on-site instruction in local schools or community venues, with designated preparation time allocated based on programming needs.

      Key Responsibilities
      • Develop, implement, and deliver educational content tailored to students, educators, and community members.
      • Facilitate in-person and virtual financial literacy sessions in schools and community settings.
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with educators, nonprofit partners, and member groups.
      • Adapt and enhance existing financial education materials to meet diverse learning needs.
      • Track program participation and assess impact to inform future development.
      • Represent Limestone Financial Credit Union at community events and outreach activities.
      Qualifications
      • Experience in education, public speaking, community outreach, or financial services preferred.

      Position Summary

      Job Description

      Responsible for developing and delivering financial literacy programs, including curriculum creation and workshop facilitation.

      Eligibility and preferred skills

      Experience in public speaking, curriculum design, and event coordination is preferred. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work independently as well as collaborate with others. Bondability under the Credit Union’s surety bond is required.

      Requirements
      1. A minimum of an undergraduate student status at Lake Superior State University in Finance, Business, Education, or a related field is required.
      2. Strong interest in personal finance and financial literacy education.
      3. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
      Skills
      1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      2. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
      3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
      4. Must possess strong reading and writing skills to effectively understand, interpret, and communicate information.
      Responsibilities
      1. Represent the credit union in a courteous and professional manner while developing and delivering financial literacy programs that benefit the members’ financial well-being.
      2. Promote and encourage participation in credit union-sponsored financial education workshops and events.
      3. Abide by organizational standards and adhere to the credit union’s mission and values when creating and delivering educational content.
      4. Ensure that all program materials, workshops, and resources are up-to-date, well-organized, and effectively communicated.
      5. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the credit union’s financial education offerings, including products, services, policies, and procedures.
      6. Engage with students, faculty, and campus organizations to promote financial wellness programs and ensure that participants have access to valuable resources.
      7. Coordinate and facilitate workshops and educational sessions, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any inquiries or concerns related to the programs.
      8. Collaborate with relevant departments and campus entities to ensure that financial literacy initiatives are well-integrated into the community and easily accessible to members.
      9. Serves as an advocate for the member, the credit union, and the movement as a whole.
