About Brandon:
Brandon Smith is a Cybersecurity Intelligence Analyst for the Michigan State Police (MSP) – Michigan Cyber Command Center (MC3). Before joining the MC3, Brandon was the lead technician for the OK2SAY Student Safety Hotline with MSP, where he became an expert in identifying critical information and providing life-saving details to troopers and officers in the field. During his time in intelligence, Brandon taught himself SQL and developed a stronger interest in software and network security. This led him to join the MC3 in 2020. Brandon’s responsibilities at MC3 include securing elections in Michigan, producing and disseminating intelligence on cybersecurity, performing cybersecurity assessments, leading tabletop exercises, and delivering threat briefings to all 16 sectors of critical infrastructure.
