Money Masters Scholarship Program¹
Program Overview:
This program is offered through a partnership with FHLB Indianapolis (FHLBI). As a selected participant, Limestone FCU is pairing this exciting scholarship opportunity with the credit union’s own financial literacy efforts to support first-generation college freshman students. Through the program, eligible students can earn a $1,000 scholarship while building essential money management skills and opening a credit union account.
Program Requirements:
To participate in the scholarship program, students must:

Be or become a member of Limestone Financial Credit Union – The Hub @ LSSU, The On-Campus Credit Union.

Be a first-generation college freshman student.

Attend Adulting 101 – a 4-part financial literacy series (1 hour each, with multiple class times available to fit your schedule).

Attend the Career Pathways & Networking Event held in October 2025 — exact date to be announced.

Attend a mandatory 20-minute introduction meeting. Please choose one of the following sessions:

August 26, 2025 | 2:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m.

August 27, 2025 | 2:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m.

Who Can Join?

Not a member yet? You can still sign up! Just stop by The Hub @ LSSU (first floor of the Cisler Center, Room 105) to join the credit union, then register for the program.

This program is open exclusively to first-generation college freshman students.
Scholarship Award:
Students who complete the program will receive a $1,000 scholarship, deposited directly into their Limestone Financial Credit Union account at the end of the semester.

Limestone FCU is a selected participant of FHLBI to pair this program with financial literacy efforts to students at Lake Superior State University. To be eligible for the Money Masters Scholarship, students must meet all program requirements, including credit union membership with Limestone Financial Credit Union – The Hub @ LSSU, be a first-generation college freshman student, attendance at all four Adulting 101 financial literacy sessions, participation in the Career Pathways & Networking Event held in October, 2025 (exact date to be announced), and attendance at one mandatory 20-minute introduction meeting in August 2025.
